We are thrilled to share that USVHA board member, Marley Robinson, recently presented at the Annual SMA Conference in Austin, Texas, to speak about the incredible sport of volt hockey!
Marley was joined by two other speakers who also have Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). They highlighted the importance of adaptive sports through their experiences with wheelchair basketball and the adaptive sports program at the University of Michigan. The room was packed, and the energy was palpable as attendees eagerly learned about these empowering activities.
This event was made possible by the collaborative efforts of CureSMA and Ed Bronsdon from Move United. We extend our heartfelt thanks to them for organizing this impactful panel. Their dedication to promoting adaptive sports continues to make a significant difference in the lives of many.
We hope to be back next year to continue spreading the word about the benefits and joys of volt hockey and other adaptive sports. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event!
