We’re so incredibly thrilled to announce that the United States Volt Hockey Association has been awarded a prestigious Direct Effect Quality of Life grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation!
This grant is a significant milestone for our organization, and we are deeply grateful to the Reeve Foundation for their belief in our mission. The funding will be used to purchase new volt hockey chairs and launch our equipment loan closet program—a groundbreaking initiative aimed at introducing volt hockey to local adaptive sports organizations across the country.
The loan closet program will enable organizations to borrow equipment and host “try-it-out” days, giving potential players and teams the chance to experience volt hockey without the upfront financial investment. By removing this initial barrier, we hope to spark a love for the sport and inspire new teams to form in communities nationwide.
Stay tuned as we roll out the equipment loan program and continue our mission to grow volt hockey! Thank you again to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation for making this possible! Together, we’re driving forward toward a more inclusive world of adaptive sports. 💙
