USVHA Showcases Volt Hockey at the NY Metro Abilities Expo

Edison, New Jersey – May 2–4, 2025

The United States Volt Hockey Association (USVHA) hit the road once again—this time to the New York Metro Abilities Expo, where we set up shop at Booth 152 to share the thrill of volt hockey with thousands of attendees.

A Weekend of Discovery

Across three exciting days, visitors of all ages stopped by to watch live demos, take a spin in a volt hockey chair, and ask the question we love to hear most: “Wait… what IS this?!” From curious kids to seasoned adaptive-sports fans, everyone got a taste of the speed and strategy that make volt hockey such a unique and accessible team sport.

Unexpected Fun

Our booth buzzed with energy—and a few surprises. Between manning the booth, we were treated to impromptu aerobics sessions, visits from colorful parrots, and gave a shot at power hockey. The atmosphere captured exactly what we love about events like these: spontaneous connections and unforgettable moments.

Community and Support

A big thank-you to the Abilities Expo organizers for hosting a fantastic weekend of adaptive technology, sports, and resources. Special shoutout to the free wheelchair-repair station run by the efficient Swedish twins, who kept everyone rolling smoothly.

On the Road Again

We left Edison inspired by the new friends we made and excited for the growing interest in volt hockey across the region. Events like the Abilities Expo remind us how important it is to share our sport and give more people the chance to unleash their zoomies and experience the joy of competition.
